Marquita C. Williams, MA, Ed.M.

Chief Consultant

 

Marquita C. Williams has had over 15 years working comprehensively in the field of psychology. She is an experienced clinician, consultant and trainer with expertise in mental health service delivery systems, practice issues in psychology, cultural diversity and issues related to multicultural competence in psychotherapy. She has consulted extensively on issues related to children and adolescents, adult anxiety disorders, issues of clinical competency and areas of clinical programming. During earlier years in the field she received a clinical and research appointment at the Medical College of Pennsylvania (MCP) and Hahnemann University Hospital. There she worked as a faculty researcher investigating and treating the psychological aftermath of assault and trauma related, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her later experiences have included working as a vocational consultant and employee assistance professional for various agencies across the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Further, Ms. Williams has presented numerous workshops and in–service trainings on a variety of topics including cultural competency in working with ethnic families, effective models of supervision, and sexual abuse and trauma. 

 

Collectively, these experiences have yielded invitations to present at national conferences across the Unites States, such as the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE), the Association for the Advancement of Behavior Therapy (AABT) and the Cross-Cultural Roundtable held annually at Columbia University in New York City.  As the result of her distinction in the field she has garnered numerous awards including the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH): Grant for Minority Faculty Researchers, the “Best of the Best” Excellence in Psychology Award from Columbia University and was awarded a position an Operation Crossroads Africa Scholar to counsel communities in addition to teaching sexual health awareness and family planning in Ghana, West Africa.

 

Ms. Williams holds an MA in Counseling Psychology and an Ed. M. with a specialization in Cross-Cultural Psychology, both from Columbia University. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Counseling Psychology at Temple University. Professionally, she holds memberships with the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association, and the Association of Black Psychologists. 

 

Lovern R. Moseley, MA

 

Lovern Moseley is a therapist practicing in the Greater Philadelphia area.  She has over 12 years of experience in the mental health field with children, adolescents and adults in the United States and the Bahamas.  Her primary area of interest is in working with youth with emotional and behavioral disorders and the families who care for them.  Another primary interest is in the area of parenting.  Ms. Moseley has worked in various areas of the mental health field including child welfare, community mental health, residential treatment, foster care, mobile therapy and partial hospitalization.  Ms. Moseley also specializes in the areas of Christian Counseling and Afro-Caribbean Counseling.

 

Ms. Moseley has completed training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at the Center for Cognitive Therapy.  She has also completed a Pre-doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology through The Devereux Foundation.

 

Angela Roman Clack, PsyD, LPC

 

Dr. Angela Roman Clack is a Clinical Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor practicing in New Jersey and Philadelphia, PA. She earned her doctorate in 2002 with a degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, Washington, DC Campus, in Rosslyn, VA, formerly the American School of Professional Psychology. She is a member of the American Psychological Association. She has taught, supervised and provided training in specific areas related to children, youth, and their families. Practicing in the field of mental health for over 10 years, she has developed a specialty in working with youth who have emotional and behavioral disturbances, learning difficulties, and who present with a trauma history and trauma related behaviors.  She has worked extensively with youth in out of home placements, including residential treatment settings, secure juvenile facilities, and within the foster care system.

She is currently embarking upon a new position as Clinical Supervisor with the University Correctional Health Care system and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Clack will provide psychological services to male youth in confinement. She has provided training to mobile therapists on issues related to providing psychotherapy in home based settings and understanding your role, working with youth experiencing trauma based behaviors, and understanding diagnoses and treatment. Dr. Clack also trained direct care counselors and juvenile detention workers on topics such as suicide awareness and prevention, managing challenging youth with mental illness, sexuality and the sexualized child, social skills and effective communication.

 

Sharon D. Thomas, MS, NCC, LPC

 

CEO of Thomas Consulting, Sharon is a mental health and addiction’s therapist with 15 years counseling experience and 10 years experience in mental health and addiction’s therapy.  Sharon has a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Counseling and Human Relations.  As a consultant, Sharon offers her expertise to individuals, groups, agencies and businesses in the following areas: Addiction and Recovery, Assertive Communication, Emotional Wellness, Stress & Emotion’s Management, Conflict Resolution, Workplace Wellness, Managing Staff Effectively, Creating a Therapeutic Atmosphere for Change, Therapist - An Agent of Change.
